Thanks for the stroll through my homeplace. When I was there, much of the land looked like the picture you have from Jonathan Dickinson State Park. I would bike all over Palm City (it was so small then) and go down to the end of the street to play at the water's edge (St. Lucie). My mother was the postmaster, and if I got into any trouble at school, she would hear about it before I could get home. Mr. Chauncey was the principal of the school and I always thought he would tell on me when he went to pick up the mail! It was a wonderful place to be a child. I go back occasionally and it sure is different. I love Stuart's effort to hold onto the history of the area.
